Our beautiful 20 x 40 ft outdoor heated pool is now open ahead of schedule and is being heated so that as soon as Mother Nature cooperates we will be ready for swimmers! The grass is green, flowers are blooming and water levels in the Minden area have receded. Have you booked your spring or summer getaway yet?

We woke to a white world again this morning but trust that spring really is coming soon. Water levels in our neighbouring areas are subsiding and we have been dry all along. The process of opening the pool has started and weather permitting it will be ready for swimming in 3 weeks, our 1st long weekend of the summer season!

WINTER IS STILL WITH US!

Yes, winter is still alive and well in the Haliburton Highlands of Ontario. Cold nights, mild days are great. Snow is staying. A bit sticky for skiing but with proper waxing all is well. Snowmobile trails are losing their snow. And yes, we do have rooms open and we would love to have you join us this March.

FINALLY – ALL TRAIL SYSTEMS OPEN – REAL WINTER!

Thanks to Mother Nature and a lot of fresh snow we finally have all trail systems open and ready for the rest of winter. Ski trails groomed (the Lakeview Trail is rolled for back country skiing or snow shoeing) and our new link from the Lakeview through road allowances to the B103 is groomed! Yes that means that HCSA trails are open and we will posting signs for the new access trail this week.

POND HOCKEY a Great Success

Pond Hockey was great and now we move on to other winter sports. We need a little more snow to reopen the ski trails and snowmobile trails. Sir Sam’s is open Wed.-Sun. with great downhill skiing, dog sledding continues and the snowmobile trails at the Haliburton Forest have stayed open. Hot tub rooms still open for Valentine’s week.

HALIBURTON IS HOCKEY CENTRAL!

The Haliburton Highlands is hosting the Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships, Jan. 25-27 and Jan. 31-Feb.2. We also have the Home Builder’s Tournament in Minden Jan. 25-27, then the Scotty Morrison Tournament the following weekend. Hockey Central! Of course we also have ice fishing, ice racing, Dog Sledding, snow shoeing, snowmobiling and skiing.
